The next couple of posts will be of work I've seen this year that is sticking with me. Gresham Tapiwa Nyaude is a self taught painter from Zimbabwe. His paintings were included in the New Museums Triennial "Songs for Sabotage". Spread through his camouflage patterened surfaces are feet, hands, limbs, and detached mouths as headless forms shove figures from ladders and faceless soldiers turn away all referencing the political violence, fear and corruption of Robert Mugabe's rule on Zimbabwe.
