Paul Kneale, a Canadian artist living in London, manipulates scanners to create paintings. Multiple passes of the scanner captures and layers the ambient light in his studio. The resulting digital file is printed on linen and reads like an airbrush painting with an incomparable amount of detail creating a sense of touch where none exists.
