I was pretty excited to see this Frankenthaler painting at the Whitney. A lot has already been written about the new narrative at the new Whitney and its inclusiveness is certainly welcome. Stories always get told by the winners and I'm happy to see Frankenthaler is telling the new version of paintings history.
