“Originally, I wanted to make paintings that were like hamburgers Michael Reafsnyder says with an utterly straight face....So, you have a hamburger, and from the side you look at it and you can see all the ingredients individually, right? But then you could bite into it and you’d taste it all at once. I wanted a painting where you have all the ingredients, but then all the ingredients together.
