Oil, paint, Chinese ink on canvas. Some of Thierry De Cordier's dark and moody seascapes were a provided a moment that paint could work. The images of the roiling sea were really powerful, but when the ship was inserted, see below, I lost interest. Those paintings make better sense as photographs.
